Vega Economics assisted a police association concerning contractually defined cost-of-living adjustments. Due to a government shutdown, the BLS did not publish CPI data for October 2025.
Our team supported the association in preparing an economically justified approach to ensure a reasonable methodology was applied for calculating the salary increases, while also clarifying how adjustments should be handled when partial-year CPI data is not issued.
