New Editorial Leadership for Health Economics

We are delighted to announce Professor W. David Bradford as our new Editor-in-Chief of Health Economics.

Professor Bradford is a health economist and the George D. Busbee Chair in Public Policy in the Department of Public Administration and Policy at the University of Georgia. His diverse research background includes, pharmaceutical economics, substance-use policy (especially opioid and cannabis policy), behavioral health economics (focusing on time and risk preferences), pharmaceutical marketing (direct to consumer and direct to physician), the economics of physician practices, and the industrial organization of the health care sector. Professor Bradford has a long history with the journal and we are excited to be working with him to build on the invaluable work undertaken by previous editors and the extended editorial team.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank the outgoing Editor-in-Chief, Professor Sally Stearns for her leadership, and for her longstanding dedication and contributions to the journal. We wish her all the best in her future endeavours.

Health Economics is an international health policy journal publishing articles on all aspects of global health economics. We welcome theoretical contributions, empirical studies, and analyses of health policy from the economic perspective. With a wide scope, Health Economics welcomes contributions on the valuation, determinants and definition of health, health care supply and demand, planning and market mechanisms, treatment micro-economics, and health care system performance.
