Professor James Wilcox recently testified at trial in a high-profile case challenging New York’s statutory interest rate on consumer debt judgments.
Retained by the Office of the New York State Attorney General, Professor Wilcox, an expert in banking, monetary policy, and consumer finance, explained that the statute’s impact on creditors’ expected recovery is negligible and that post-judgment interest rates are not a meaningful factor in lending decisions.
Vega supported Dr. Wilcox in document review, data analysis, and deposition/trail preparation.
