Sarah Auchterlonie is a nationally recognized authority on consumer finance law, banking regulation and compliance. A former founding enforcement attorney and senior litigation leader at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB), she combines government regulatory experience, complex litigation experience
and industry knowledge to provide expert testimony in matters involving consumer financial services, fair credit reporting, debt collection, lending practices, banking operations, regulatory compliance and consumer protection.
Sarah currently chairs Brownstein’s Consumer Protection Group and advises financial institutions, fintechs, consumer reporting agencies, debt collectors, creditors and banks on regulatory compliance, investigations and litigation. She is co-author of the Bloomberg BNA treatise Consumer Finance Law and Compliance and serves as Chair of the Colorado Banking Board.
